Real Print
Brand conception, web to print and e-commerce project.
Real Print approached us with a request to develop a new web-to-print portal that offered a great user experience keeping simplicity as its core. The brand was aware that many large, traditional printers were losing out much of the market space to modern, agile digital printers. To compete successfully in this market, a 24/7, on-demand printing portal was required. The solution we offered was built using our world-leading, e-commerce software, Catfish.
We worked closely with Real Print to develop a new brand identity that communicated the approachable, friendly ethos that is key to their offering. Real Print is a web-to-print portal but behind the web interface is a team of dedicated, experienced print professionals. It was vital that the branding communicated the friendly vibes that they wanted; Real Print had to appear fresh, young and approachable whilst remaining obviously professional and reliable. The branding and logo are built on a foundation of a soft palette that works together across screen, print and mobile device.
The resulting brand identity is fresh and youthful, reflecting the arena the business operates in, but with a logo that has a nod to past times and more traditional typography.
Our Catfish solution enabled large parts of the website and workflow to be automated. Ensuring a simple UX was key to the solution as well as the brand, so automating as much of the process as possible was critical. Real Print had to offer a fast access, upload, quote, and preview capability to guarantee its market positioning as a digital, on-demand access printing portal. Catfish is able to generate a quote immediately, regardless of the product and the attribute combination the user chooses. Once a user lands on the site, the route to basket is a minimal number of clicks for all products; 3 clicks from the homepage and the user is uploading their artwork, and if they land on a product page it is possible to upload artwork with just 2 clicks of a mouse. The key to this simplicity is an advanced script and volume of coding set behind the scenes all developed by our development team at Infigo Software.
Our parent company, Infigo Software, is able to develop bespoke Catfish solutions to fit the needs of any client. It may be a time consuming process, but the resulting, bespoke site, means that Real Print can be sure that its site is unique and cutting edge. It is key to the client that their offering and website remains agile and with the ability to respond to future trends.
With a successful brand identity and an awesome website all constructed in-house between Netkandi and Infigo Software, we had to ensure the content was all killer and no filler. Short, to the point and without any extraneous info, the philosophy of simplicity drove the content and copy creation process too. The simple, user experience could not be let down with poor content that distracted from the process and route to basket.
Combining these 3 aspects of the brand ensured that we created a unified brand identity that wasn’t let down by any of the 3 pillars that support the brand – the website, the brand identity and the content. We backed up the identity with a social campaign and a sample pack that offered more than just single use, but served too, as instructional and lifestyle affirming for the savvy 21st Century digital first generation.
